	ST. LOUIS (DNS) -- The Division of Higher Education board of directors,
meeting Nov. 4, named new officers for the upcoming year and added three
new members.  

	New officers for the 2000-2001 term are: chairperson, Carla Fletcher,
Ferguson, Mo.; vice chairperson, the Rev. Charles Blaisdell, San Ramon,
Calif.; and board secretary, the Rev. John Dong Gook Roh, Buffalo Grove,
Ill.

	The board's new members, and the end date of their terms, are Dr. Donald
T. Lucey, Pittsboro, N.C., (2002); the Rev. W. Clark Gilpin, Chicago, Ill.,
(2003); and the Rev. John Rodenberg, Stockton, Calif., (2004).

	In addition, current board member, the Rev. Timothy S. Lee, Torrance,
Calif., was re-elected to a four-year term. Lee is currently teaching at
the University of Chicago.

	Fourteen universities and seven theological institutions in 12 states are
in covenant with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Those
institutions serve 24,000 students. In addition, three schools and three
theological institutions maintain ties with the denomination.
