Mariners set for July 15-19 Family Conference

	The Presbyterian National Mariners will hold their annual Family Conference
July 15-19 on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

	"Peace in Families: A Gift of Shalom" is the theme of this 63rd annual
family conference sponsored by the Mariners, which works in partnership with
the Congregational Ministries Division in Louisville.

	The conference, which includes worship, workshops and family activities,
will be led by the Rev. Sasha Makovkin, a Presbyterian minister, evangelist
and potter currently serving in Redwoods Presbytery. He and his wife, Susan,
also an artist, have served on the staff of Princeton Theological Seminary
as "artists-in-residence" and have led numerous events around the theme of
spirituality and the arts.
