The American Theological Library Association's (ATLA) Professional
Development Committee will present its first Management Issues Seminar on
Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at the Durham Marriott at the Civic Center in
Durham, NC, immediately preceding the ATLA Annual Conference. The Seminar,
entitled "The Library Budget," will help library directors of all levels of
experience improve their skills in budget preparation and presentation to
administrators. In the morning, two concurrent sessions will run, one on
"Budgeting and Financial Basics" and the other on "Budgeting for Change." In
the afternoon, a plenary session on "Communicating Your Budget to
Administrators" will take place. For more information, please visit the
Management Issues Seminar web page at www.atla.com/management_seminar.htm.
