Churchwide compensation policy guidelines available on the web

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-The recently adopted Churchwide Compensation Policy
Guidelines are now available on the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) website,
www.pcusa.org.

	The 1999 General Assembly adopted the current guidelines and created an
Advisory Committee on Churchwide Compensation to recommend further changes
in them, to consult with various Assembly entities on their salary
administration policies and procedures and to monitor entities' compliance
with the guidelines.

	The nine-member committee includes three members elected by the Assembly
and one member each from the six major Assembly entities - the General
Assembly Council, the Office of the General Assembly, the Presbyterian
Publishing Corporation, the Board of Pensions, the Presbyterian Church
(U.S.A.) Foundation and the Presbyterian Investment and Loan Program.

	Advisory committee chair Bill Dillon of Chicago said the committee
"welcomes input as to what might be helpful to governing bodies and
congregations in the future."
