Bible School Graduates 4,000 in Mwanza

Bible School Graduates 4,000 in Mwanza

Mwanza, Tanzania.   The Voice of Prophecy (VOP) Bible 
Correspondence School, an Adventist-owned institution, 
graduated 4,000 students in Mwanza, Tanzania June 15 during 
the opening of "Africa for Christ 2001" satellite evangelist 
effort, a three-week broadcast reaching Africa, India 
and Europe.

Other areas in Tanzania saw another 15,000 graduate while 
worldwide an estimated 500,000 participated in the graduation.

According to Kurt Johnson, director of the VOP Bible 
Correspondence School, this is the highest number of students 
to graduate in the school's history.

Those at Mwanza's graduation included Lonnie Melashenko, 
VOP director and speaker, Pardon Mwansa, president of the 
Adventist Church in the Eastern Africa region, and Geoffrey 
Mbwana, the church's president in Tanzania.
