RODIN TO RESIGN NEXT JUNE AS PRESIDENT
OF EASTERN BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY
Dr. R. Scott Rodin, president of Eastern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, Pa., has announced
his intention to resign June 30, 2002.
Rodin served as acting president prior to his
appointment as president of the school in May 1998. He
came to Eastern in 1993 as vice president for
Advancement and adjunct professor of Theology and
Ethics.
Under Rodin's leadership the school successfully
completed the $6.3-million capital campaign "Forward in
Faithfulness," established its distance learning program for
clergy and laity across the U.S., developed a new
curriculum and vision statement and established the
Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary Foundation, among
other achievements.
Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary is one of ten
seminaries related to American Baptist Churches USA
through Educational Ministries.
