Former Senior Vice-President
of Arthritis Foundation Named Deputy CEO
of World's Largest Gay Spirituality Organization
West Hollywood, CA b Jane Warner, former Senior Vice-President for the
Arthritis Foundation, has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer for
the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC), the
world's largest religious organization with a primary outreach to the gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgendered communities.
According to the Rev. Troy D. Perry, UFMCC Founder and veteran civil rights
activist, "Jane Warner brings 13 years of experience with the Arthritis
Foundation, most recently as Senior Vice President, where she managed US
field operations with 150 offices and a direct staff of 42, and oversaw a
fund raising portfolio of $70 million in planned giving, major gifts, special
events and foundation solicitations. In her exemplary work with the Arthritis
Foundation, Jane helped to develop and implement strategic organizational
planning b gifts which are especially vital and timely at this juncture in
UFMCC's growth and development."
According to Perry, UFMCC is implementing a four-year reorganization plan to
prepare the denomination for future international growth.
Warner is a past consultant for the Los Angeles Museum of Art, where she
developed marketing strategies for target markets, created an operations
manual, established volunteer job descriptions, and designed a full scale
planned giving program.
She also worked with the University of California at Los Angeles as Director
of Annual Giving. In this position, she developed a university brand identity
for annual giving through targeted market research and produced comprehensive
direct marketing plans.
Warner holds a B.S. degree from Radford University and a M.S. degree from
Florida State University. She is an active member of the American Society of
Association Executives, where she has served as a member of the Membership
Development Committee and the Philanthropic Executive Advisory Task Force.
As Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Community Churches, Jane is
tasked with the management of human, financial and property resources, is
responsible for the hiring of all Headquarters staff, will coordinate the
hiring of professional services, and is responsible for preparing and monitor
UFMCC's budgetary process.
During the past year, Warner served as UFMCC's Chief Development Officer.
Those duties will continue as part of her portfolio.
Founded in 1968 with 12 initial members, UFMCC has grown to more than 45,000
members and adherents in 300 congregations in 19 countries. More than 225,000
