New book promotes prayer, understanding

Book features poetic prayers, international photos by David Young

LOUISVILLE - Renowned Presbyterian poet and photographer David P. Young has
published a new book of lyrical prayers and photographs entitled Prayer
Photos.

	Each prayer in the book is illustrated by a photograph taken by Young
during his many years of traveling the globe as staff photographer for the
Presbyterian Church (USA).

	"My hope is that people will link the photos and prayers as a way to be in
conversation with each other about their relationship with God and God's
presence in the world," Young told the Presbyterian News Service.

	The photos comprise a veritable mission travelogue of Young's trips around
the world visiting Presbyterian mission. They were taken in Cuba, Nicaragua,
the former Soviet Union, the U.S., Honduras, Guatemala, Malawi, China and
Brazil.

	Prayer Photos is available for $8 plus $2 for shipping. Make checks payable
