Three Mennonite Media videos win awards
HARRISONBURG, Va. (MBM) Mennonite Media has received awards for
three videos for the second year in a row.
Many Grains, an introduction to the Mennonite Church, and Beyond
the News: Facing Death each received the Award of Distinction
from the Videographer Awards, a national competition for
directors, writers and other production professionals. Facing
Death, a documentary profiling three families experiences with
serious illness or death, is intended to help viewers address
this sensitive topic.
Rhythms of Peace 2, a childrens video promoting nonviolence,
received an Honorable Mention. In 2000, the videos also won
awards in both the U.S. International Film and Video Festival
and Telly Awards.
Out of more than 2,400 entries from across the United States and
several other countries, only about 16 percent won the Award of

communications professionals who are raising the standards of the
industry. Other winning organizations include AT&T Media
Services, Habitat for Humanity International, NBC, the U.S.
