The first issue of the youth E-zine from the Presbyterian Church in
Taiwan (PCT) is on line, available to the entire world on the web. The
team who produce it hope that it will eventually reach all churches and
homes.
This publication is both "from youth" and "for youth". Editor Ting
Yau-min said, "Though I'm only a student, yet I believe that I still can
do many things. To publish a magazine is like a dream. I hope many
people can strengthen their faith, equip themselves and find systematic
answers from our tradition to their faith questions through what we
publish."
Currently the e-zine's contents include students' own submissions,
training in writing, sharing of essays, and encouragement. Each issue
will have articles on a main theme accompanied by historical and
theological materials.
In the world of the web, many college students already rely on
e-mail as their main communications medium. The PCT's Taipei Campus
Ministries Center has assigned a staff evangelist, Chao Mei-huei, to
supervise the work. She says, "Using the e-zine we will be able to
share announcements and results of local and international conferences,
training sessions and seminars. At the same time we can share devotional
materials and intercession plans for prayers. We hope that everyone who
views the publication will find materials that strengthen their faith."
