Nominees sought for Higher Education Award

LOUISVILLE - Each year the higher education community of the Presbyterian
Church (USA) honors one of its own for the contribution made to the
denomination's mission in higher education.
The Higher Education Program Area of the National Ministries Division is now
accepting nominations for the 2002 Higher Education Award. Deadline for
nominations is Jan. 15, 2002.
There are five criteria for nominations:
1. The person must be living.
2. The Service must be distinguished, extensive and long-term.
3. The person must be involved in the life of the church.
4. The service must be of national and/or international significance.
5. The person must be a Presbyterian or have worked on behalf of the
Presbyterian Church (USA).
Nominations must be accompanied by two additional letters of support. All
nominations remain active for consideration for three years. An honor roll
of four persons will be named from among those not selected for the award.
Nomination forms can be ordered from Presbyterian Distribution Service at
1-800-524-2612 (product #72-520-01-004) or can be found on the Web at
