  INDIANAPOLIS --The Pension Fund Board is pleased to
announce the
election of the Rev. Saundra Michael-Bowers as Vice
President of
Membership/Benefits.  Her work in this capacity will begin
effective immediately.

  Michael-Bowers joined the Pension Fund staff in July of
1992.  Since that
time she has served as General Representative and Director
of Membership. 
Prior to coming to the Pension Fund she served as the
Assistant to the Director of
the Christian Theological Seminary Bookstore and as
Director of the Logos
Program of the Warren Hills Christian Church in
Indianapolis.  She was Co-
Pastor with her husband, Howard, of the First Christian
Church, Casey, Ill., from
1987 to 1990.  Michael-Bowers served as the Administrative
Assistant of the
Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler, Pa.,
from 1986 to 1987, as
Interim Minister of the First Christian Church in Girard,
Ohio (1984) and as
Campus Minister at Mansfield University, Mansfield, Pa.,
(1982-83).  She was
ordained in Enid, Okla., in 1981.  Her home church is
Central Christian Church,
Troy, Mich.

  A native of Royal Oak, Mich., Michael-Bowers, received a
Bachelor of
Science degree from Phillips University, the Master of
Divinity from Phillips
Graduate Seminary and  Masters of Business Administration
from Butler
University, Indianapolis. She is married to Howard Bowers,
minister of the Olive
Branch Christian Church in Indianapolis.
