American Baptist News Service (7/11/02)--Excerpts from an upcoming
devotional booklet to be published by American Baptist National Ministries
in conjunction with its "Can You See It?" conference will be available
online at the conference Web site as of today.

The excerpted devotions will change daily through the opening of the
conference, which runs Aug. 11-14 in Colorado Springs, Colo.  Written by
pastors and National Ministries' staff and board members, the reflections
encourage and inspire American Baptists seeking God's "new thing" in an
ever-changing world. Each devotion is based on the conference Scripture,
Isaiah 43:18-19-"Do not remember the former things, or consider the things
of old.  I am about to do a new thing: now it springs forth, do you not
perceive it?"
