Archbishop condemns attack on Christian charity in Pakistan

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey, has expressed his deep sorrow
and strong condemnation following the murders which took place yesterday at
a Christian charity in Karachi, Pakistan.

Dr Carey said, "This is a dreadful act of violence against a Christian
organisation which has been offering welfare and social support to people of
all faiths for 30 years.

"I hold in my thoughts and prayers those who were killed and injured as well
as the bereaved families and the Christian minority in Pakistan."
