Division of Overseas Ministry: President

Board affirms ministry of Division of Overseas Ministries president -
In their November meeting, the Division of Overseas Ministries board of
directors passed a resolution affirming the ministry of President, Rev.
Patricia M. Tucker.  Tucker resigned her position effective January 1,
2003.  She served as president since January 1, 1994.

Search begins for new president of Division of Overseas Ministries -
The board of the Division of Overseas Ministries of the Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ) has begun the search for qualified candidates for
the position of president.  The president serves as the executive of
this general unit and also as the co-executive of Global Ministries, the
common witness and work of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
and the United Church of Christ.

serves as new assistant vice president for human and organizational
development of Church Extension. Lori Adams was elected to the position

team - A Disciples veteran of sales and promotion in the communication
industry has joined Church Extension as director of marketing. William

Week of Compassion Committee Approves Major Commitment

The Week of Compassion Committee, meeting at Saguaro Christian Church
in Tucson, Ariz., November 22-23, approved a major commitment of
$100,000 toward a new Church World Service initiative in Africa.
