Iraqi Children
Second Round of 'All Our Children' Supplies to Benefit Nearly 15,000
Soap for Pediatric Hospitals in Baghdad
A shipment of badly needed personal hygiene soap and laundry detergent
for Iraqi children arrived in Baghdad Monday afternoon (March 31) as
part of the U.S.-based All Our Children campaign.
The truckload of hygiene supplies originated in Amman, Jordan, crossed
the border into Iraq Monday morning and reached Baghdad that afternoon,
reported Church World Service (CWS), a founding member of the campaign.
The 5.5 metric tons of soap- enough to support the hygiene needs of
14,688 Iraqi children for six months - and 5.8 metric tons of laundry
detergent will support UNICEF'S child nutrition program in Iraq. For the

Racial Ethnic Constituency Leaders Provide Support for the Easter
Offering
The Revs. John R. Foulkes, Associate General Minister and
Administrative Secretary of the National Convocation; Pablo Jimenez,
National Hispanic Pastor, Central Pastoral Office for Hispanic
Ministries; and Geunhee Yu, Executive Pastor for North American Asian
Ministries, have all offered their support to the Easter Special Day
Offering. Each recognizes the critical support provided by Disciples
Mission Fund to support and extend their ministries across the life of

The Black Leadership Project Grant committee is preparing to consider
grant applications and would like for you to encourage those who are
engaged in a creative black leadership project to apply for these
