American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 7/17/03)--Dr. Sumner M.
Grant, executive director of The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board
(MMBB), has announced the appointment of the Rev. Melody S. Chartier as
member service representative (MSR) in the New York office, effective Aug.
4, 2003.  Chartier's appointment brings the number of New York MSRs to six.

Since 2002 Chartier has been director of Annual Funds and Church Relations
at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Mass. Prior to that
she was director of Affinity and Multicultural Programs at Brown University.
