PHILLIPS UNIVERSITY LEGACY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 2003-2004 UNDERGRADUATE 
SCHOLARSHIPS
ENID, Okla.--Connie Cravens, Chair of the Undergraduate Scholarship Review 
Committee, announced that $54,000 was awarded to sixteen students attending 
universities and colleges affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples 
of Christ). Eight of the student awardees were continued from the first 
class of scholarship recipients in 2002-2003. The other eight are new 
awardees. PULF received 64 applications and awarded the scholarships to 
students who demonstrate potential for church, profession, and community

GRANT TO STAFF 2006 WOMEN'S PARTNERSHIP EVENT
Claudia E. Grant, former Deputy General Minister and Vice President for 
Communications of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), has been 
hired as the coordinator for the 2006 Disciples and United Church of Christ 
partnership women's event in Indianapolis.

Grant, who coordinated the 1998 Quadrennial Assembly and served on the 
planning committee for the first-ever joint General Assembly/Synod in St. 
Louis, said in her letter of application, "The Indiana Women's 
Retreat...was a strong reminder to me of the power and life-giving 
possibilities for the church when women of faith come together."

Claudia will begin her duties part-time the week of August 4.  Her office 
will be housed at Disciples Home Missions in the Office of Disciples Women, 
Indianapolis.
