Bishop appoints new Wardens at St Martin's North Vancouver
[ACNS Source: Diocese of New Westminster] The Parish of St Martin's, North
Vancouver, should soon be seeking a new priest to replace its former rector
who resigned at the end of January.
"The absence of a permanent Incumbent (rector), and the unwillingness of
some members of the parish to search for one through the normal diocesan
process, has brought the current crisis to a head," said Bishop Michael
Ingham.
His announcement was read to the Parish at its regular Sunday morning
service September 7.
Appointed as Bishop's Wardens are St Martin's parishioners Lindsey Buchanan,
Steven Priest, and Joe Arduini. They have been directed to bring "stability
and normalcy" to the parish.
They replace the current parish wardens, trustees, synod delegates, and the
Church Committee.
For the time being, the temporary appointment of the Rev. Don Willis as
Priest-in-Charge of St Martin's will continue until further notice, the
congregation was told.
