	LCMS Youth Ministry to mail
	2004 servant-event schedule

	Later this month, LCMS District and Congregational Services --
Youth Ministry plans to mail to all Synod congregations a "magazine"
with the schedule of next summer's servant events.

	Titled "Image of Christ," the magazine will include descriptions
of the servant events planned in the United States, Mexico and Germany,
and how to register for them.

	"The organizations, camps, schools and churches involved in the
50 events are in need of willing servants," said Gretchen Jameson, Youth
Ministry's communications manager.

	She encouraged groups "to look for service opportunities" in or
near their LCMS districts, while urging those who plan to attend the
2004 National Youth Gathering in Orlando next year to "seek out servant
events in places on the way to or from the Gathering."

	LCMS Youth Ministry first hosted servant events in 1981. Since
then, Jameson said, more than 32,000 youth and adults have served at
more than 850 servant-event sites in 34 states and nine countries.
