Correction

	A recent story by the Presbyterian News Service confused the United
Presbyterian Church of North America (UPCNA) with the Presbyterian Church in
the United States of America (PCUSA). The latter was the major former
"northern" Presbyterian Church. It existed from 1789 to 1958, when it merged
with the UPCNA to form the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of
America (UPCUSA). In 1983, the UPCUSA merged with the former "southern"
church, the Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUS), to form the
Presbyterian Church (USA).
