American Baptist News Service (Valley Forge, Pa. 7/6/04)--Onie Kittle, a
member of the NEW LIFE 2010 National Prayer Team who served as an intercessor
at American Baptist board meetings, national gatherings and conferences, died
June 27 at age 64.
A part of the NL2010 Prayer Team since 1998, she had written resources and
been part of many prayer networks.
"Onie Kittle was a spiritual warrior, who continually sought her Heavenly
Father's face and favor through prayer," said Dr. Jeffrey Johnson, National
Ministries' national coordinator of Evangelism. "As a member and key leader
of the American Baptist National Prayer Team, Onie's passion for prayer
helped to undergird the early stages of our denomination's ongoing NEW LIFE
2010 movement. So much of her time and energy, of which she had little in
recent years, was consumed with faithful intercession for pastors for whom
she carried a deep burden. Onie Kittle gave us an example of a faithful
praying disciple."
She was the wife of Dr. Charles G. Kittle of Riverton, N.J. Along with her
husband she is survived by two daughters, Brenedah J. Holton and Ruth Stark,
and one son, Charles Kittle. Condolences may be sent to the family at 304
Carriage House, Riverton, NJ 08077.
