	LCMS delegates adopt bylaw to clarify election process

	Delegates yesterday (July 11) adopted a bylaw change that
precludes accepting floor nominations that could make someone already on
a slate of candidates ineligible for election, unless the potential
effect is reported immediately to the convention. The bylaw will take

	Bylaw addition requires RSO church workers
	to be members of districts in which they work

	Delegates today (July 12) voted to require rostered church
workers who are employees of LCMS Recognized Service Organizations
(RSOs) to be members of the geographical district in which the member
resides or the non-geographical district in which he or she holds

	Convention adopts mission,
	teacher-education resolutions

	Delegates adopted a resolution today (July 12) encouraging the
Synods colleges, universities and seminaries to include educational
study relating to mission and leadership development. They also adopted
two resolutions aimed at increasing the number of Synod-certified
teachers and providing teacher education online. (For more, go to
