CHILDREN ARE WELCOME AT UPCOMING CONFERENCE
The second Children Welcome! Conference will be held September 30 -
October 2 in Roanoke, Va., with numerous opportunities for idea sharing,
networking and fellowship. The conference will explore ways to
implement successful children's ministries, as well as enhance youth
ministries beyond the doors of the church building. Attendees also will
look at ways children fit into the church's biblical and theological
past, present, and future. Children Welcome! is organized through the
Office of Family and Children's Ministries of Disciples Home Missions.

HIGHER EDUCATION UNVEILS NEW LOGO
The Division of Higher Education will change its name to Higher
Education and Leadership Ministries (HELM) on August 1. A new logo has
been announced as part of the name. The logo represents a ship sailing
into uncharted waters.	The prow of the ship pushes to the upper right,
with water on either side. Across the prow is the shadow of a mast - a
shadow in the shape of the St. Andrew cross depicted on the Chalice, the
Disciple's official logo. Below the image is "HELM" in block
letters. To view the new logo, visit:
