Aug. 9, 2005 - Rev. Jimmy Lin has been appointed as the interim
administrative director of programs and ministries at the Back to God
Hour (BTGH), pending the appointment of a new director.

As administrative director, Lin's duties will include providing
oversight for the Kid's Corner radio ministry and Primary Focus
television ministry.  He also will provide oversight for the day-to-day
operations of Racom Associates, the fundraising organization for the
BTGH.

BTGH board president Rev. Robert Heerspink said Lin's work will focus on
the internal operations of the agency.

Heerspink also said that the search for a new director and a new English
language ministry leader will not be affected by the recent
developments.  A search committee is in place and its work continues.

The appointment follows the resignation July 29 of Rev. Calvin Bremer as
executive director of the BTGH.  Bremer was scheduled to leave the BTGH
on Aug. 22 to become the executive director of the Christian Reformed
Church (CRC), a position he also resigned.  Rev. Peter Borgdorff, who
currently serves the CRC as executive director of ministries, has been
appointed to that position pending a search for a new executive
director.

Lin, who was born in Hong Kong, has served with the BTGH since 1990 as
its Chinese-language broadcast minister. He is a graduate of Westminster
Theological Seminary and Princeton Theological Seminary.  He is a member
of Orland Park Christian Reformed Church in Orland Park, Ill. where he
is a serving elder. He also serves on the board of Trinity Christian
College in Palos Heights, Ill.
