Three staff members from the Office of Research Services of the
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) have been elected to three-year terms as
officers of the Religious Research Association. Keith Wullf, coordinator of
Research Services, will be a director; Jack Marcum, associate for survey
research, will be secretary; and Ida Smith-Williams, associate for research
and information, will be a member of the nominations committee. Wulff is also
serving as program chair for the association's annual meeting next month in
Rochester, NY.

BorderLinks, the non-profit organization that conducts travel and
education seminars on U.S.-Mexico border issues, has named the Rev. Delle
McCormick executive director, succeeding the founding director, Rick
Ufford-Chase, who is now moderator of the PC(USA) General Assembly.
Ufford-Chase will continue to serve BorderLinks as an advisor.

Carolyn Pirtle, of Wichita, KS, who earned a master's degree in music
theory and composition from Kansas State University in May, has won the first
annual Sutherland Endowment Fund Competition for original sacred music for
organ and choir. The award was announced by Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church
in Bethesda, MD, the competition's sponsor; Pirtle's anthem, "Ave Regina
Caelorum," will be premiered there early next year. The award includes a
$2,500 cash prize.
