Press Information:

The event is open to the public.

The media entrance will be the South Transept. This entrance is located on
South Road opposite the Pilgrim Steps (just below the Pilgrim Steps is a
statue of George Washington on horseback). A press area has been designated in
the south balcony. No cameras will be allowed on the nave floor. Due to limited
parking, media vehicles (television trucks) are prohibited on the Cathedral
grounds.

Please understand that the cathedral is foremost a house of prayer.
Maintaining a reverent and private atmosphere for prayer and spiritual contemplation
while allowing media coverage of programs at Washington National Cathedral
can be challenging. Our goal is to do everything possible to ensure the best
media coverage while maintaining the mission of the cathedral.

Media Note: Washington National Cathedral is a unique institution. It is not
a parish nor does it have a congregation. It is also where the nation has
come to mourn tragedies, the loss of national leaders and also to celebrate
great national moments.

Media Interviews:

Rev. Nancy Wilson will be available for a limited number of in-person
interviews in Washington, DC during Wednesday-Monday, October 26-31,
2005, as well
as phone interviews. To arrange press and media interviews, please call the
MCC Communications Department at (310) 360-8640, Ext. 226, or send interview
requests by e-mail to _info@MCCchurch.org_ (mailto:info@MCCchurch.org) .
