MSS fills 2 key financial positions

Longtime PC(USA) staffers get promotions to controller, associate director

LOUISVILLE - Judy Golliher, who for the past year has served as interim
controller for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s General Assembly Council
(GAC), has been named Associate Director for Finance and Accounting by Chief
Financial Officer Joey Bailey.

	In a related move, Denise Hampton, a 12-year veteran of the
denomination's financial administration, most recently as associate
controller, was named controller.

	Golliher, whose position is a new one in the Mission Support Services
office, and Hampton, who succeeds Nagy Tawfik, will report to Bailey, a top
deputy to GAC Executive Director John Detterick.

	Golliher, who has more than 20 years' experience in banking and real
estate development, will oversee accounts payable and receivable, treasury
management, payroll, central receiving and purchasing.

	"Judy has been a tremendous asset for the church during her year as
interim controller," Bailey said. "She has demonstrated her commitment to
excellence and service, and I look forward to her leadership in the crucial
area of finance and accounting as we move forward."

	The GAC, the mission program arm of the 2.4 million-member PC(USA)
has an annual budget of more than $120 million.

	Hampton, a certified public accountant, will be responsible for all
aspects of financial reporting for the GAC.

	Hampton "has shaped many of the financial reporting standards that
are already in place within the GAC," Bailey said.
