VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS)-Charles Jones, acting executive director of
International Ministries, and Sharon Smart, leader of IM's Missionary
Personnel and Services team announced today the appointment of two key
members of IM's missionary support effort.

Florence Cheung, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, is IM's new Payroll Manager
and Senior Analyst, handling the many complex details of providing
economic support to missionaries in nearly thirty countries. Cheung has
come to IM from the business world, bringing over twenty years of
experience in accounting and business process management in a variety of
different industries. In a cost-saving move, Cheung has also been given
responsibility for managing the payroll of IM's home office employees.
She began serving with IM in December of 2005.

Cheung is a member of the Chinese Christian Church and Center of
Philadelphia, part of the Philadelphia Baptist Association.

Timothy Moore, of Springfield, Oregon, will begin to serve as IM's
Director of MK Care and Concern in February, 2006. MK, short for
"missionary kid," is the title that many children of missionaries prefer
to use when referring to themselves. This innovative position within IM
was created in 2000 as a result of the Go Global planning effort, when
MK participants in the process identified MK care as a priority need
within the organization.

Moore brings to this unique form of pastoral care the wisdom gained
through his own experience growing up as the son of American Baptist
missionaries in Congo (Charles and Alice Moore), together with his years
of work with children and youth in local church and camping ministries.

Moore is a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, part of the
American Baptist Churches of Oregon.

"I am deeply grateful to God for bringing Florence and Tim to
International Ministries," said Charles Jones, acting executive
director. "They add a great depth of experience to our staff team in
their areas of service, and each brings a contagious commitment to the
work of Christ around the world."
