A pilgrimage with the Most Rev. Frank T. Griswold, Presiding Bishop The Paschal Journey: Through Darkness into Light

[ENS] Join Presiding Bishop Frank T. Griswold at the Cathedral College at Washington National Cathedral April 13-15 for a journey into the Paschal mystery through a rhythm of worship, silence, reflection and Service, including:

* Immersion in the liturgies of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter vigil during services at Washington National Cathedral; * Daily reflections led by Griswold; * Participation in the Loaves and Fishes program, serving meals to persons in need in the D.C. area; * Time for private prayer and meditation; and * A celebration of the Resurrection with a post-vigil reception at Cathedral College.

"With Jesus and his disciples we go up to the Holy City and enter into the Paschal mystery of his dying and rising: to the cross and then through the cross into resurrection," said Griswold. "This is what the celebration of Holy Week and the Great Vigil of Easter is all about. Through the waters of rebirth and the action of the Holy Spirit each one of us is baptized into Christ's death and resurrection. As we are thus baptized, we accept the ongoing dynamic of dying and rising as the fundamental law of our existence. We do not do this ritually, or symbolically, or only once, but in the continual choices and struggles that present themselves to us, personally and as a household of faith."

Cost of the pilgrimage is $350/person. There is an additional fee of $85/person for those wishing to extend their stay at the College to attend the Sunday morning Easter service at the Cathedral.
