VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS)-The Rev. Dr. Leo S. Thorne, Associate General Secretary for Mission Resource Development, ABCUSA, announced today the appointment of Andrew Jayne to the position of Webmaster/Communications Specialist. "We're delighted that Andy, with his strong commitment to the local church, his media skills, and his writing gifts, will be joining us in this position," said Dr. A. Roy Medley, General Secretary.
A resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jayne has been performing the duties of the position part-time since the previous Webmaster, Matthew Brown, responded to the call to serve as senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Marshall, Michigan.
Jayne worked for five years with the Board of Educational Ministries, ABCUSA, managing their database and network systems until early 2004. He pursued an independent writing career and hiked the Appalachian Trail before stepping in to temporarily fill the Webmaster position back in February.
"We welcome Andy to this important position," said Dr. Thorne, "and believe that he will make a terrific contribution to our dedicated team."
