25 ministers attended this meeting organized by the MECC Unit on Faith and Unity on June 20 in Amman. Held in the Greek Catholic Bishopric, the meetin g was also attended by two bishops.
The topic, ³Christian Formation for Adults² was presented by Father Rafic Khoury from Jerusalem raising questions related to the context of the oriental churches and to personal experiences in Christian education and formation for adults. Fr. Khoury asked participants to comment and reflect on his paper.
In small working group discussions, participants focused their reflection o n pastoral work and ecumenical collaboration on the theme of the day. They recommended the organization of special conferences, and youth and adult camps focusing on Christian education; the use of modern means and techniques in Christian education; work on an ecumenical and a unified Catechism; and capacity building on leadership and education skills.
