Correction
A General Assembly story (GA06126, June 21) on the Assembly's action on the report of its Church Polity Committee contained an error.
The story reported that the Assembly commented that an overture from Stockton Presbytery seeking a constitutional amendment that would give title to church property to congregations rather than the denomination was "Congregationalist rather than Presbyterian understanding of the nature of church property."
That comment was made by the Advisory Committee on the Constitution, not by the General Assembly. The Assembly disapproved the Stockton overture without comment.
