Held at Mar Mina Monastery in Alexandria-Egypt from July 10-14, 2006, this joint JPHR/EPEP (Ecumenical Popular Education Program) workshop on the "Educational Text and its Role in Spreading a Culture of Human Rights" brought together around 150 participants from the different regions and churches in Egypt. The meeting focused on Education as a way to promote human rights. The methodology used focused on dialogue about human rights violations and ways to defend them, through group discussions. "'The life of the words" was the title of a training session conducted by Zahi Azar, Director of EPEP. Researches and studies conducted earlier by each participant on different subjects were presented and discussed in plenary sessions. At the end of the workshop, participants received a Diploma from the Egyptian ministry of Education.
