Lutheran School Family Receives New Home
From ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Tune in this Sunday evening, Oct. 1, to ABC's popular TV show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and learn how the lives of one Richmond, Mich., family are forever changed. Teachers and students from St. Peter's Lutheran School in Richmond played a key role in persuading ABC to select this family for a home makeover. Led by kindergarten teacher Paulette Mills, whose class includes a member of the selected family, classmates created cards and other messages that helped the show's executives make their decision.
ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning reality show in which families who demonstrate need can be chosen to receive a newly renovated, or in some cases, a newly built home. Seen on Sundays at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central time), this Sunday's episode features the Gilliam family, whose new home replaces their small, 100-year-old farmhouse that was contaminated with toxic mold.
