THE LUTHERAN CHURCH Missouri Synod
PBS Show "Religion & Ethics Newsweekly" Airs Story About New Lutheran Service Book
PBS' critically acclaimed TV show "Religion & Ethics Newsweekly" will air a brief segment this weekend on Lutheran Service Book, The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod's new hymnal. Video footage featured in the 30-second segment was filmed during a hymn festival last Sunday, Sept. 24, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Des Peres, Mo., celebrating the launch of the new hymnal. A tribute to the resource that will guide Lutheran worship for decades to come, the festival featured St. Paul's accomplished 120-voice combined choirs and 26-piece orchestra performing selected hymns from the new hymnal.
Hosted by veteran journalist Bob Abernethy, "Religion & Ethics Newsweekly" features coverage and analysis of religious news from around the world. Show times vary by city, and can run on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, so check local listings for your location.
