October 12th AJC?s Cocktail and Concert New Orleans Fundraising Event
Co-sponsored by AJC's young professional ?ACCESS? program, the JCC in Manhattan, and the Office of Black Ministry (Archdiocese of New York), this event will feature a cocktail reception and live New Orleans jazz performance by the Jazz Ensemble of New Orlean?s Xavier University - the only black and Catholic university in the US. The event is an opportunity to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to raise awareness for the continued need to support New Orleans recovery. There is a $40 suggested donation which includes a complimentary original jazz CD, recorded by students of Xavier University in New Orleans. All proceeds will go to the Xavier Summer Academy to educate high school students in sciences.
