The MECC will loose one of its long-serving staffs after years of dedicatio n to the ecumenical witness of the MECC. Mrs. Aline Papazian will retire by the end of April 2007 after 22 years of services. She joined the MECC in 1986 and worked as Director of the Unit on Life & Service till 2003. She wa s appointed Director of the International Ecumenical Relations till the day o f her retirement. Mrs. Papazian served the Council with outstanding ecumenica l commitment and sincere dedication. Her long ecumenical experience made her a unique resource to the MECC staff and partners. ³We will miss Aline¹s great dedication, work and her useful relationships with our partners and the staff², said MECC General Secretary, Mr. Guirgis Saleh. A native Armenian Orthodox Lebanese, Mrs. Papazian will continue to live in Lebanon and work on consultancy basis. The MECC General Secretary is organizing an MECC farewell staff gathering on 30 April to thank Mrs. Papazian for her work an d services that will be remembered.
Mr. Razek Siriani will hold the position of Director of International Ecumenical Relations starting May 1st, 2007, in addition to his present position as Director of the Unit on Education & Renewal.
