Washington National Cathedral celebrates 100 years as 'icon' in the capital

[Episcopal Life] For 100 years, the nation has watched the church on top of the hill grow.
Eighty-three years in the making, the Washington National Cathedral is more than a church; it represents the dedication of multiple generations working together to create a national house of worship.
The centennial begins this month, offering a chance to reflect on what the cathedral means to the nation and to celebrate the success of those who remained faithful during the long journey.
