CBS and the NCC celebrate Christmas Eve with a dazzling special at Marble Church
New York, December 6, 2007 ? Become part of the world?s biggest birthday party Christmas Eve with Marble Collegiate Church, the nation?s oldest Protestant ministry and historic landmark in New York City.
The nationwide broadcast, produced by MarbleVision in cooperation with the National Council of Churches, is scheduled to begin at 11:30 p.m. EST and PST, 10:30 p.m. CST, December 24, on participating CBS stations. Check local listings.
Hosted by Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden, this one hour special includes such classic Christmas favorites as ?O Come All Ye Faithful,? ?The First Noel,? ?Go Tell it On The Mountain,? ?Joy to the World,? and ?Hark the Herald Angels Sing? performed by Marble?s exceptional choirs.
Also included are heartwarming stories from Senior Minister Dr. Arthur Caliandro.
Internationally touring tenor Johan Botha and renowned American soprano Camellia Johnson also join the choirs for soul-stirring renditions of ?Behold a Star? and ?O Holy Night.?
Marble Collegiate Church in the heart of Manhattan is nationally known as the church where the Rev. Norman Vincent Peale, author of The Power of Positive Thinking, was pastor for 52 years.
