LOUISVILLE - The Presbyterian Health, Education and Welfare Association (PHEWA) is seeking nominations for four ministry awards that will be celebrated during the social welfare ministries group's reception at the 218th General Assembly in San Jose, CA, next June.

Recipients will also be honored at a meeting of the presbytery where they are engaged in ministry.

The Presbyterian Association for Community Transformation (PACT) Award recognizes a congregation, that either through ecumenical or interfaith community ministry or a special project of the congregation, has been faithful and creative in its ministry to and with its community.

Presbyterians for Disability Concerns (PDC) presents the Nancy Jennings Award to a person, congregation or PCUSA entity that affirms, supports and advocates for the gifts, rights, and responsibilities of persons with disabilities in the total life of the church.

The Presbyterian Serious Mental Illness Network (PSMIN) presents the Florence Iversen Kraft Award to recognize a congregation that has demonstrated outstanding leadership in its ministry with those who have a serious mental illness and with their families. Please see the criteria for this award at www.pcusa.org/phewa/psmin.
