VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 05/16/08) - Andrew Jayne, web
master/communications specialist in Mission Resource Development, will
leave his position on June 9. He has accepted a position as Intranet
Coordinator for Transfield Services in Philadelphia, Pa.

"Andy has done a remarkable job for ABCUSA with his technological skills
and dedication to the denomination," said Roy Medley, general secretary.
"He has been a tremendous resource to us, combining his technical and
writing abilities to meet the demands of his job. He established strong
relationships with many persons across the denomination and represented
us well in professional settings external to us. To his distinction, he
was recently made Commander of his Engineer Company in the U.S. Army
Reserve."

Jayne's service with American Baptist Churches began in 1999 as Systems
Coordinator (Information Technology) with the American Baptist Board of
Education and Publication. Leaving that position in 2004, he returned in
2006 to the position he currently holds. Jayne's major accountabilities
were in the fields of IT, Communications, and Production and, among
other things, he will be remembered for working to make the
denominational web site more user friendly.

"Andy has been a terrific colleague, and we are sad to see him go," said
Leo Thorne, associate general secretary for Mission Resource
Development. "We are pleased, however, that he has found a new
opportunity where God will continue to use his abilities."

"I appreciate the time I have spent with the staff of MRD, the Office of
the General Secretary, and other American Baptist entities in the Valley
Forge Mission Center," said Jayne. "It allowed me the opportunity to
broaden my skills while contributing to the efforts of the
denominational leadership."
