Taiwan Church Press donates books to help aboriginal pastors

To help all 504 pastors from Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT)  aboriginal churches expand their knowledge and the depth and breadth of  their sermons, Taiwan Church Press presented PCT Aboriginal Missions  Board with a sermon series written by retired Pastor Ang Un-jiu (Hong  Wen-rou).

A gift ceremony was conducted on February 6, 2008 at the General  Assembly of the PCT attended by many aboriginal pastors, including PCT  Aboriginal Missions Board Director Pastor Suna, East Amis Presbytery  Moderator Q.C. Soil, East Amis Presbytery former Secretary-General Kino  Lafin. Taiwan Church News General Editor Fang Lan-ting, and Associate  General Secretary of the PCT Sing ‘Olam were also in attendance.

On behalf of the organization, Taiwan Church Press CEO Pastor Hu  Chung-ming presented Pastor Suna with a complete sermon series written  by Ang during the ceremony. Suna thanked Taiwan Church Press for its  support and commitment to aboriginal churches over the years.

Besides giving each PCT aboriginal church five books from Ang  Un-jiu’s sermon series, Taiwan Church Press is also donating three  thousand books to Yu-Shan Theological College and Seminary so that it  can distribute these books to aboriginal churches in need of educational  resources.
