>APA to host certification event

Training will be in conjunction with group's annual
conference

LOUISVILLE ― The Administrative Personnel Association of
the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will conduct a week-long
certification event in conjunction with its national
conference at Walt Disney World, FL, in July.

The certification event runs July 12-19. The annual
conference is July 16-19.

During the week, church administrators who are APA members
may complete one of three levels of certification.
Non-members will receive a certificate of completion.

>Some of the course offerings are:

-Coaching and Mentoring Skills for Successful Leadership
-Financial Planning
-Sexual Harassment
-The Church and Copyright Law

The event will include an entire day of intermediate level
technology classes in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel,
Publisher and Access.

This event is "family-friendly," offering child-care
services during conference activities  and discounts at
many Orlando-area attractions.

The APA, established in 1976, is a professional
organization created for administrative employees of
churches and other Presbyterian governing bodies and
organizations. Through its educational events, members gain
expertise in all fields associated with their position(s)
within the PC(USA). It is a group that strengthens lives
both spiritually and professionally.
