Christopher Heckert is the Associate General Secretary for Marketing 
and Mission Communications of Global Ministries, coordinating all 
print, web, audiovisual, and new media for the largest of The United 
Methodist general agencies. Rev. Heckert oversees Global Ministries 
marketing and promotions, making resources relevant and contemporary, 
and supervising dozens of staff and consultants. He brings a rich 
background in pastoral ministry, global music and marketing to communications.

While serving as Business Manager of the Global Praise Program, he 
designed and led worship for United Methodist events and conducted 
workshops on the importance and practice of global song. He served as 
the co-editor of For Everyone Born: Global Songs for an Emerging 
Church, a hymn book and CD of global songs for emerging churches.
