Plenary Speaker on Moving in Faith
Rev. Otis Moss, III is Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, the 
largest church in the denomination, with 8,000 members. He received 
his B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Morehouse College, and 
graduated from Yale with a Master of Divinity degree with a 
concentration in Ethics and Theology.
He has been Chaplain of the week at Chautauqua Institution, 
Chautauqua, NY and has served as a guest lecturer for the 
Interdenominational Theological Center, Emory University, 
Presbyterian College, Paine College, Dillard University, Howard 
University, Yale University, Harvard University, and Morehouse 
College. His passion for youth and intergenerational ministry has led 
him to create the Issachar Movement, a consulting group designed to 
bridge the generation gap within churches and to train a new 
generation of prophetic church leadership.
Rev. Moss has done extensive research in the areas of 
African-American culture, theology, and youth development. He is the 
author of Redemption in a Red Light District, and his essays, 
articles, and poetry have appeared in Sojourners Magazine, The Urban 
Spectrum, and The African American Pulpit Journal, which, along with 
BeliefNet, recently named Reverend Moss as one of the "Twenty to 
Watch" ministers who will shape the future of the African American Church.
Rev. Moss has an extensive background in television with frequent 
appearances on "Day 1 Diner," "New Morning," and "New Morning with 
Naomi Judd" (Hallmark Channel), and as regular guest on "30 Good 
Minutes" (PBS Chicago). His sermon "By Any Means Necessary" is 
available at the Chicago Sunday Evening Club web site in print, 
audio, and video formats.
