NAVAJOLAND: Leadership workshop helps area mission move forward
>By ENS staff
[Episcopal News Service] More than 80 participants attending a
leadership workshop held by the Episcopal Church in Navajoland(ECN)
heard their new "co-leader" the Rev. Canon David Bailey say that it is
time for the area mission to move forward.
The Nov. 21 workshop at All Saints Episcopal Church in Farmington, New
Mexico, was attended by President of the House of Deputies Bonnie
Anderson and all members of the ECN Council.
Anderson said there was a "vibrant expression of hope, enthusiasm,
support for service and real commitment" at the workshop.

BRAZIL: Archbishop responds to the Vatican's Apostolic Constitution
[Episcopal News Service] Archbishop Mauricio Andrade of the Igreja
Episcopal Anglicana do Brasil (Episcopal Anglican Church of Brazil) has
responded to the Vatican's Nov. 9 release of an Apostolic Constitution,
a document that outlines provisions to accept groups of former Anglicans
who wish to enter into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
The constitution came as a surprise to many Anglicans when its planned
release was announced by the Vatican in October.

ERD receives largest bequest in organization's history
[Episcopal News Service] In early November, Episcopal Relief and
Development (ERD) received the largest bequest in the agency's history
from long-time donor, Ella Brigham. A donor for more than a decade,
Brigham has contributed to various funds including Hurricane Relief and
Clean Water. Her bequest, an undesignated gift, has furthered her legacy
of generosity while enabling ERD to continue supporting those
communities most in need worldwide.

>New Episcopalian looks back
Once discovered, faith became as natural as breathing
>By Stacey Carmody
[Episcopal News Service] It's almost Advent. This is a season for
reflection on birth, incarnation and connection.
I now have been an Episcopalian for more than three years. I am still a
"new" Episcopalian, yet I am able to look back and reflect on my "birth"
as an Episcopalian.
My entrance into a denomination was surprising. I never had been
religious growing up; to my peers, my religious affiliation was
nonexistent, or ambiguous at best. I never let others know what I
believed, perhaps because I still was trying to figure that out myself.
