Bulletin inserts outline work of Episcopal, Anglican women at UN  conference

ENS Weekly bulletin inserts for March 7 outline the work of Episcopal
and Anglican delegates to the United Nations Commission on the Status
of Women, which is holding its 54th session in New York City March 1 -
12. The meeting will mark the 15th anniversary of the 1995 Beijing
Platform for Action on Women.

[Ecumenical News International, Nairobi] Nobel Peace Prize Laureate
Archbishop Desmond Tutu and a group of nine other former heads and
members of national truth commissions, have urged Bethuel Kiplagat to
resign as the head of Kenya's Truth, Justice and Reconciliation

PHILIPPINES: Churches denounce health workers' detention, alleged  torture

[Episcopal News Service] Christian leaders around the world have
condemned the arrest, detention and alleged torture of 43 health
workers in the Philippines who had participated in training sessions
conducted by a non-government organization, the Council for Health and
Development.
