[13]Read story and post a comment» Court acts on delegate, clergy issues NEW YORK (UMNS)--The Judicial Council ruled it had âno jurisdictionâ to act on a request from the South Carolina Annual (regional) Conference inquiring about the General Conference secretaryâs authority to adjust the number of delegates participating in the legislative gathering. The General Conference, which gathers every four years, will next meet in 2012. The Judicial Council had a long docket at its Oct. 27-30 meeting. Mosley has been elected president-dean of United Methodist-related Gammon Theological Seminary effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Bishop Alfred L. Norris Sr., who has served as interim president-dean since March. Mosley, the university chaplain at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, served as senior pastor of two churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania Annual (regional) Conference.
