âItâs a faith-like-a-mustard-seed story. Those women started with a
vision;
they started small and look how it has grown. They were brave enough
to act,
to reach out. Thatâs our heritage.â â Rene Carter, Sibley board
member

year for
what we hope will become a tradition,â said the Rev. Darryn
Hewson, Vashon

WASHINGTON (UMNS) â Religious leaders in the United States and
Cuba are
hopeful that U.S.-imposed restrictions on religious travel and
financial
transfers soon will be eased by the Obama administration. In a
Nov. 15-16
visit, a delegation of Protestant leaders from the Cuban Council
of Churches
â including the Rev. Humberto Fuentes, a Methodist pastor â
pressed their
concerns about the inhibiting effects of the travel restrictions

Department of
State and the National Security Council.
